DevOps Engineer

DevOps Engineer – £40–50K – Hybrid SW London (1 Day Onsite)

We’re working with a specialist UK organisation delivering high‑impact digital products in science and engineering. They’re hiring a DevOps Engineer to own CI/CD, automation, and cloud deployment within a small, modern engineering team.

Role Overview

You’ll streamline how products are built, tested, and released, improving pipelines, IaC, and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Use IaC (Bicep/ARM) for provisioning
• Manage Azure environments and support containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes
• Embed security best practice into pipelines (“shift left”)

What You’ll Need

• Experience with CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Strong Azure cloud knowledge, plus Docker familiarity
• Experience with Bicep/ARM and scripting (Python/Bash/PowerShell)
• Enthusiastic, adaptable, and comfortable working across the stack

Working Pattern

• Hybrid: 1 day onsite per week (typically Thursday)

Interview Process

• 30‑min online conversation
• 1h 20m onsite interview + short technical task (diagramming, pseudocode, Bicep, containerisation approach etc.)
