We have an exciting opportunity for BDM/NAM to take commercial ownership of a high profile customer within the Food Service space.

  • The hard working UK Sales Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing. The Team coordinates the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse; and Discounters.
  • The Business Development Manager/National Account Manager will have full ownership of the Bidfood P&L on both branded and retailer own brand and commercial relationships with Bidfood

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Agree the annual JBP with monthly tracking with the customer ensuring there is a recovery plan if tracking off plan
  • Agree an optimum and profitable full year promotional plan with Bidfood
  • Be responsible for the contact strategy with Bidfood stakeholders to ensure the full year plan is implemented
  • Seeking new business opportunities by engaging with end users and internal Bidfood sales teams to drive incremental profitable sales
  • Deliver in year annual projects for the hospitality team and internally
  • Own the cashup and ensure the forecast accuracy to meet business KPI’s

Bring your experience

  • Extensive experience in a customer facing role
  • Working autonomously and as part of a team towards business set targets
  • Consistent track record of successfully navigating complex negotiations, difficult conversations and managing significant commercial strategic change
  • Ability to engage stakeholders at all levels across the business
  • Strong problem solving and solution orientated
  • Strong commercial acumen to deliver towards the channel P&L (understanding drivers of product mix PPA)
  • Able to identify growth opportunities through new business
  • Previous account management and commercial experience in foodservice / hospitality / OOH
  • Experience in Impulse categories
  • Branded & Retailer branded experience
