Junior Project Manager – Engineering
Location: Bedfordshire
Are you an APM-qualified Junior Project Manager looking to kickstart your career in a cutting-edge engineering environment? My client – a specialist in advanced aerospace research and development – is seeking a motivated and detail-driven individual to support the successful delivery of technical projects across the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing complex programmes in a collaborative and highly skilled team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the coordination and delivery of technical projects from concept to completion
- Assist in developing project documentation including business cases, schedules, risk registers, and status reports
- Work closely with technical leads and stakeholders to track progress, identify risks, and ensure milestones are met
- Help maintain project governance in line with company processes and best practice (APM)
- Contribute to bid preparation and customer reporting activities
- Support resource planning and cost control
- Participate in internal reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
What we’re looking for:
- APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or higher
- Previous experience (including placements or internships) within engineering, aerospace, defence, or a similar technical environment
- A strong understanding of project lifecycles, scheduling, and risk management
- Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Organised, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Eligible for security clearance (British Nationals only – no dual nationality, due to project requirements)
