Electrical Project Manager
Location: Home-based with national travel (ideally within 2 hours of Leeds)
Salary: £50,000 + Company Vehicle (van or estate) + Travel & Stay-Away Allowance (£35 per night)
The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of multiple high-value electrical and M&E projects across the UK. This role offers the opportunity to work on major refurbishment and decarbonisation programmes, supporting the transition toward more sustainable, electrically led building services solutions.
You’ll play a key role in delivering technically complex projects across large commercial estates and infrastructure environments, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and programme delivery.
The Role
- Manage 7–8 electrical or M&E projects per year, typically valued at £300k–£500k+, delivering one main project at a time with occasional overlap.
- Oversee electrical refurbishments, upgrades, and decarbonisation works across national sites.
- Manage projects from pre-construction and planning through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
- Coordinate direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Attend site as required, typically 1–2 visits per week depending on project stage.
- Manage project programmes, variations, cost control, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, health & safety standards, and client specifications.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, internal teams, and supply chain partners.
Project Exposure May Include
- Electrical infrastructure upgrades on large commercial and transport sites.
- Power distribution, containment, and lighting upgrades.
- Electrical works supporting low-carbon and electrification initiatives.
- HV/LV interfaces, depending on experience.
- Integration of electrical systems alongside mechanical decarbonisation projects.

About You
- Hands‑on Electrical Project Manager with a strong building services or M&E background.
- Proven experience delivering electrical or M&E projects valued at £300k+.
- Strong background in electrical installations within commercial or industrial environments.
- Good understanding of BS7671 / 18th Edition and electrical compliance.
- Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
- Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexible to travel nationally with occasional overnight stays.
- Ideally based within 2 hours of Leeds with good motorway access.
