You’ll join a fast-growing UK aerospace SME that designs, builds and manufactures advanced uncrewed aircraft entirely in-house. Engineering, prototyping, avionics and manufacturing all sit under one roof. That means flight control design isn’t theoretical – it’s tested, refined and flown in tight development loops.
Recent investment has accelerated growth, and the business is scaling its flight control and simulation capability to support increasingly complex platforms.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll take a senior role in developing and leading flight control software across multiple UAV platforms. Think Model-based design of flight control systems (Matlab/Simulink), Flight Dynamics modelling and as a senior you’ll lead on software work packages & review code.
You’ll work closely with aerodynamics, systems, embedded software and flight operations teams – shaping control strategies that actually fly.
What you’ll bring
- Strong background in control systems design and documentation
- Deep understanding of aeronautics and control theory
- Significant experience with MATLAB & Simulink
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers within software projects
- Ideally exposure to embedded or real-time systems
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance
