The Role
Work across traditional housing schemes (non-HRB) in Guildford and surrounding areas
- Manage design from Stage 3/4 through delivery
- Coordinate architects, structural engineers and M&E consultants
- Review technical information for buildability and compliance
- Drive pragmatic problem solving on live schemes
- Lead design meetings, manage RFIs and protect programme
4 days site / head office, 1 day WFH – You must be able to comfortably reach both Guildford and Basingstoke.
What they’re looking for
Assistant Design Manager stepping up or established Design Manager
- Technically strong – not overly process-driven
- Housing or traditional construction background
- Tier 2 backgrounds welcomed
- Ambitious and keen to grow within a structured Tier One environment
- Engineering background would be a real advantage but not essential
They are specifically looking for someone technically capable who can add depth – not just manage paperwork.
