We are seeking a detail-driven HSQE Data Analyst to join our Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE) team on a 12 Month fixed term contract basis.
To work with a team of HSQE professionals in the delivery of HSQE analytical and performance measurement data for reporting purposes and for trend analysis and action tracking. Supporting operations and corporate functions across client sites and for the business’ own compliance requirements and delivery of our HSQE Strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provision of incident statistics and data into various reports and analysis of incident and hazard management data pulled from the incident reporting system including accident and RIDDOR frequency rates.
- Creation of visually appealing and insightful reports for business stakeholders and standardisation of reporting requirements for monthly, quarterly, 6 monthly, end of year and HSQE client/Regional reports.
- Combined data analytics within the HSQE function for overall risk mapping (from incident data, hazard spotting, internal/external audits, risk register, environmental/sustainability data, dynamic risk assessments).
- Continuous improvement and action tracking with feedback to the HSQE Team and wider stakeholders.
- Conducting regular data quality control checks across a range of tools/systems/reports to ensure accuracy of data.
- Creation of a HSQE Dashboard or Scorecard for use across the business to provide information to allow for monitoring of compliance and HSQE performance.
- Collation of data for tools and equipment compliance reporting.
- Provide reports on internal building compliance across the Arcus offices for statutory building management and for sustainability indicators.
- Analysis of trends from internal and external audit actions.
- Reporting on completion of toolbox talks delivered to operational teams.
- Provision of data processing information/data for the Data Protection Officer.
- Provision of year-on-year data analysis and trend mapping.
- Data capture and collation of various environmental, energy and sustainability data – mileage, energy usage, carbon emissions, mileage projections including the creation of a dashboard.
- Provide risk mapping for our corporate risk register.
- Support with the provision of data requested in new business bids and for renewals of existing contracts (client assurance activities).
- Provision of data for RoSPA awards submissions or any other HSQE awards entered.
- Projects requiring collation and analysis of data/information as required.
- Analysis and reporting on dynamic risk assessments completed across the business.
- Embedded into the HSQE Team to ensure collaborative working and understanding data needs on HSQE in the team and across the business.
- Support in the transition to a new HSQE system, considering transfer of data, data collection methods.
What We’re Looking For
Specific Qualifications
Desirable: Higher Education Qualification (HND / Degree) in Maths, Data Science, Computing or similar.
Knowledge / Experience
- Experience in data analytics – to be able to interpret data and produce professional reports.
- Strong expertise in HSQE desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI SQL and data extraction tools are advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 depending on expereience.
