Contract: Zero Hours (with real scope to grow)
Start: Immediate / By Agreement
We are an established edge protection company that was performing well a few years ago, delivering projects across the commercial sector and the Scottish Parliament. After a quieter period, we are now looking to scale back up and get the business firing again.
The foundations are all still in place: supplier relationships, labourer contacts, several websites generating enquiries, and a solid track record. What we need now is the right person to take ownership of the commercial side and help us rebuild momentum.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for all client enquiries. You will speak with clients, understand their requirements, prepare quotes, and organise labourers for confirmed projects. This is a hands‑on commercial role where you manage the full process from enquiry to delivery.
The role is fully remote, though we would most likely require in‑person visits to our office in Audenshaw, Manchester on a bi‑monthly basis to catch up, review progress, and plan ahead together.
What You Will Do
- Respond to and manage incoming client enquiries
- Engage with clients to understand their edge protection needs
- Prepare quotations and proposals
- Coordinate and organise labour for projects
- Liaise with our existing suppliers
- Build client relationships and identify new opportunities
- Help shape the direction and growth of the company
What We Are Looking For
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with clients
- Organised, self‑motivated, and comfortable working independently
- Commercial awareness and ability to quote work accurately
- Able to attend bi‑monthly in‑person meetings in Audenshaw, Manchester
Big Bonus If You Have
- Previous experience in edge protection or scaffolding
