Grounds Maintenance Operative, 4 Posts – PKC13618£As part of a team, you will perform maintenance tasks throughout the Perth area such as grass and hedge cutting, pesticide application and litter collection, therefore candidates should have horticultural background knowledge. You may also be required to carry out other duties such as assisting with burials, street sweeping, refuse collection and any other Environment Service’s tasks as and when required. The Environment Service operates new ways of working, which is a variable shift system involving annualised hours, longer hours in summer and shorter in winter. You will have the opportunity to participate in on-the-job training, and your continuous development will be encouraged and supported throughout your career with Perth & Kinross Council. Candidates should have horticultural background knowledge.  It would be desirable if you have a valid UK driving licence as this post may require you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross. You must be able to do any paperwork associated with the post e.g. timesheets, work schedules, maintenance records etc.  Knowledge of computers/smartphones would also be beneficial.
