Job Description:

Strategic & Corporate Development Manager | Series D Tech Scale-up | London / Hybrid

The Client

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with a high-growth, venture-backed technology scale-up as they look to appoint a Strategic & Corporate Development Manager to join their London team.

Having raised $200m+ in funding and now generating £100m+ in annual revenue, the business has established itself as one of the UK’s standout late-stage tech success stories. With strong international expansion underway and a clear trajectory towards a future IPO, the company is continuing to invest in the strategic capability required to support its next phase of growth.

This role sits within a lean, high‑calibre corporate development function, working directly with the Director of Corporate Development and closely alongside the CEO and executive leadership team. As the business continues to scale, the function plays a critical role in shaping strategic priorities, evaluating potential acquisitions and partnerships, and supporting key initiatives that will influence the company’s long‑term trajectory.

The Role

This is a high‑impact role at the centre of the organisation, blending corporate development, strategic analysis, and CEO Office initiatives.

Working closely with the Director of Corporate Development and the CEO, you will help evaluate and execute M&A opportunities, strategic investments, and new business initiatives, while also supporting a range of board‑level and investor‑facing projects. You will play a key role in assessing opportunities through financial modelling, commercial analysis, and market evaluation, helping the leadership team make well‑informed strategic decisions.

Alongside corporate development activity, the role will support the CEO Office on a variety of cross‑functional strategic projects, translating high‑level priorities into actionable initiatives and providing analytical insight that helps drive execution across the business.

Given the lean structure of the team and the senior stakeholders involved, the role offers exceptional exposure and ownership early on. It is particularly well suited to individuals with a background in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy environments who are looking for their next operating role within a fast‑scaling technology business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the identification, screening, and evaluation of M&A, investment, and partnership opportunities
  • Build financial models, valuations, and commercial analyses to support strategic decision-making
  • Conduct market, competitor, and commercial analysis to inform strategic initiatives
  • Assist with the end‑to‑end M&A process, including due diligence coordination, business case preparation, and internal approvals
  • Develop board and investor materials, working closely with Finance and senior leadership
  • Support the CEO Office in executing cross‑functional strategic projects across the organisation
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured workstreams and actionable plans
  • Produce high‑quality executive materials, including strategy memos, presentations, and analytical summaries

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate strategy/corporate development roles
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to structure complex strategic problems and generate actionable insights
  • Experience producing executive-level presentations and strategic materials
  • Strong commercial judgement and understanding of value drivers within technology businesses
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working within or advising high‑growth technology businesses
  • Prior exposure to M&A processes, investments, or strategic transactions
  • Experience working on cross‑functional strategic initiatives
