Production Manager

We are looking for a Production and Engineering Manager to lead a skilled team in a high-reliability aerospace and defence environment, focusing on electromechanical products. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and innovation across the production floor.

Role Overview

• Manage the Production Engineering and Test team, encouraging high performance and a culture of continuous improvement
• Implement lean manufacturing practices and optimise production processes to reduce waste and improve efficiency
• Introduce and support digital solutions and AI tools to improve decision‑making, quality, and productivity
• Maintain compliance with high‑reliability manufacturing standards, including AS9100
• Develop engineering strategies and roadmaps aligned with the company’s long‑term objectives

Candidate Profile

• Experience leading production or manufacturing engineering teams
• Strong understanding of lean methods such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, standard work, and value stream mapping
• Skilled in structured problem solving and root cause analysis (8D, FMEA, SPC, Fishbone)
• Background in high‑reliability or regulated manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing, data analytics, or AI tools is desirable
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
• Flexible working arrangements including a 9‑day fortnight and half‑day Fridays
