A commercially focused Finance Business Partner is sought to support a key business unit within a large international services organisation.
This is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing financial performance, leading budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring accurate reporting in line with group policies and accounting standards. You will partner closely with senior operational leaders, providing clear financial insight, robust analysis, and constructive challenge to support strategic decision-making, effective risk management, and strong working capital performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance by managing monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting in line with US GAAP and Group accounting policies, including oversight of balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation.
- Lead financial planning and forecasting, owning the annual budget process and continuously improving monthly forecasting, tracking performance against outlooks and providing variance analysis.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and decision support to senior stakeholders, including participation in BU SLT meetings and partnering with the BU MD, Commercial Director and Operations Director to support strategic business decisions.
- Manage financial risk, working capital and contract governance, including oversight of billing, accrued income, aged debt and cash collection, reviewing complex contract terms, and ensuring new contracts are mobilised in line with financial policies.
- Lead and develop the finance function, acting as the key contact for internal and external auditors, supporting business development opportunities, and managing, coaching and developing the finance team while delivering ad-hoc financial analysis and projects.
To Be Suitable
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 6+ years’ PQE experience of managing a finance function in a substantial business, preferably operating in a business services environment
- Solid understanding of technical accounting. IFRS is a must and US GAAP is a plus
- Proven experience in delivering budgets and forecasts for large businesses with multiple operations.
- Systems literacy: desire/ability to harness IT systems to provide/improve MI
- Strong performance manager with drive and enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team and deliver outstanding results. An ability to motivate other to be successful.
