Senior Childcare Lawyer (REMOTE WORKING CONSIDERED) needed, £42.67ph
PAYE – Reference: 5291124
Remote working will be considered.
Condensed hours will be considered.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, negotiating, and preparing documentation for care proceedings and other childcare matters.
- Providing timely, robust legal advice to senior officers, frontline social workers, and elected members on all aspects of childcare law.
- Managing and conducting public law litigation, including representing the Client at court.
- Instructing counsel and specialist advocates where appropriate.
- Supporting strategic decision-making across the Children’s Services directorate.
- Line managing and mentoring junior lawyers, ensuring quality and compliance.
