Job Title: Dual Registration Manager – 2 Homes
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £65,000 per annum + £7,500 welcome bonus
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time)
Employment Type: Permanent
Service: Children’s Residential Homes (Dual Registration – 2 homes, 4 beds each)
Service Users: Children and young people aged 8–17 with EBD
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential) and QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management (or prepared to study)
The Homes
This is an opportunity to oversee two established 4-bed children’s residential homes in Stoke-on-Trent, supporting young people aged 8–17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Role Overview
As Dual Registration Manager, you will hold Ofsted registration across both homes, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and outcomes are consistently delivered.
Who we are looking for…
We are seeking a confident, experienced, and values-led leader who can take full responsibility for the operational and regulatory performance of two homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and overseeing the day-to-day running of two children’s homes, ensuring they are safe, stable, and compliant
- Maintaining strong safeguarding practice and ensuring full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations
- Leading, developing, and supporting two staff teams to deliver consistent, therapeutic, child-centred care
- Managing referrals, placement stability, care planning, risk management, and outcomes across both services
- Working in partnership with local authorities and external professionals
- Overseeing staffing, rotas, budgets, and resources across both homes
- Driving a positive culture focused on stability, accountability, and continuous improvement
Requirements ✅
- Significant leadership experience within Ofsted-registered children’s residential care
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and regulatory compliance
- Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce (essential)
- QCF Level 5 Leadership/Management (or willingness to work towards this)
- Proven ability to manage or support multiple services or teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
