We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Analyst to join Delt’s Cyber Security team – someone who can take the lead when it comes to identifying, analysing, and responding to cyber threats across a complex, multi-customer environment.
This position sits at the heart of our cyber capability, working closely with our Cyber Service Owner and wider IT teams to deliver a robust, proactive security. It’s about ownership, influence, and being the calm, credible expert when things get serious. You’ll work across teams, support strategic decisions, and play a key role in protecting critical services for our customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading cyber incident response – from detection through to recovery
- Acting as an escalation point for analysts and supporting service delivery
- Reviewing and validating vulnerabilities, ensuring risks are properly understood and managed
- Producing clear, insightful reporting for customers and senior stakeholders
- Working with our SOC provider to ensure alerts and threats are effectively handled
- Developing and improving cyber response plans and runbooks
- Supporting governance activities across Delt and our customer base
- Providing expert input into projects, tooling, and security architecture
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
You’ll also be part of an on‑call rota, working alongside other specialists to respond to critical alerts when needed.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone who can balance deep technical knowledge with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in cyber security within a complex or multi‑tenant environment
- Strong incident response and security operations experience
- Confidence working with tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Qualys or Tenable
- A solid understanding of vulnerability management and risk frameworks
- The ability to translate technical risks into clear, business‑focused language
- Experience supporting or mentoring others within a team
- A calm, analytical approach; especially under pressure
- Degree in Cyber Security, Computing or similar would be of benefit, as would Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, Microsoft Security Operations Analyst)
- ITIL Foundation is not essential but would be highly desirable
