Production Manager

Our client is a small but growing manufacturing business seeking a hands‑on Production Manager to take ownership of their production operations. This is an opportunity for a current line leader or supervisor to take the next step in their career.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all day‑to‑day production activities
• Plan and schedule workloads across operatives and machinery
• Work hands‑on within the production team, including operating machinery
• Oversee stock control, purchasing, and supplier coordination
• Ensure high standards of health & safety and provide staff training
• Maintain and improve quality control systems
• Plan preventative and reactive maintenance
• Coordinate transport and logistics

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Hands‑on experience setting and running machinery
• Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with suppliers and customers
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently
• IT literate

Working Hours

• Monday‑Friday, 7.30am‑4.30pm
