Senior Product Engineer

Company: Wave Talent
Apply for the Senior Product Engineer
Location: Greater London
Job Description:

£136k–£180k + equity | Remote Europe or London

I’m working with a Series A developer infrastructure startup building the platform that powers AI agents inside production applications.

Developers use the platform to run AI workflows reliably at scale. It’s already used by tens of thousands of developers, with some customers running hundreds of millions of executions per month.

Despite this scale, the team is only ~10 people. They recently raised a $16m Series A and are now hiring several engineers to help solve the infrastructure challenges that come with that level of growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a very small team working on hard distributed systems problems at significant scale.

Quick overview

  • Equity: meaningful early‑stage package (~0.3%)
  • Location: Remote across Europe or London hybrid
  • Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Postgres, Redis, ClickHouse (some Go emerging)
  • Team size: ~10 engineers currently

What you’ll be working on

  • Scaling infrastructure that runs millions to billions of AI agent executions
  • Designing reliable distributed systems for high concurrency workloads
  • Secure execution environments for user‑generated code
  • Observability and debugging tools for AI workflows
  • Core backend architecture and platform reliability

What they’re looking for

  • Strong backend engineers (TypeScript / Node ideal)
  • Experience operating systems at a significant scale
  • Good understanding of distributed systems and reliability
  • Comfortable working in small, high‑ownership teams
  • Engineers who actively use AI tooling in their development workflow

The team intentionally keeps things small and moves quickly. Engineers here own large parts of the system and work directly with the founders on technical direction.

If you enjoy solving difficult infrastructure problems and want to work on something at the intersection of AI, developer tooling, and distributed systems, this is a very interesting opportunity.

Drop me a message if you’d like to learn more.
