If you are an experienced Consultant Microbiologist then this vacancy could be for you! Our London based client has an international reputation for innovation and a desire to make a difference. This is a replacement Consultant position and the successful candidate will have the chance to join a dynamic team of consultants with expertise across a broad range of areas including mycology, infection control, and infectious diseases.
This department is one of the busiest in the London region providing a service for a large urban population. The successful post holder will be entering a modern and well‑equipped environment and is expected to play an active role in the general workload of the department while having a significant commitment to teaching and training of junior staff.
The post holder should have the following:
- FRCPath or evidence of equivalent qualification
- Full and specialist registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council
- Any UK‑trained applicants should also hold CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview
- Any non‑UK trained applicants will be required to show evidence of equivalence to UK CCT
- Wide experience in all aspects of Microbiology and Infection, culminating in award of CCT or equivalent either in medical microbiology or dual accreditation in Microbiology and Infectious disease
- Specialist training in Microbiology or Infectious Diseases
