Job Description:

Are you passionate about data, technology, and driving business improvements? We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst to help us optimise systems, deliver actionable insights, and support smarter decision‑making across the organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Enhance Business Systems: Maintain, upgrade, and improve core systems (Finance, HR, Customer Service, Asset Management, Planning, Revenues & Benefits).
  • Deliver Data Insights: Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support strategic decisions.
  • Spatial Analysis: Use ArcGIS to provide mapping and spatial data solutions for planning and service delivery.
  • Engage & Train: Work with stakeholders to understand needs, provide training, and promote a data‑driven culture.
  • Support Projects: Contribute to digital transformation initiatives and system enhancements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Information Systems, Business, GIS, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in Power BI, ArcGIS, or business analysis are a plus.
  • Experience in Business Systems Analysis Support.
  • Strong skills in Power BI (data modelling, dashboards) and ArcGIS (mapping, spatial analysis).
  • Excellent data analysis and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of local government systems, SQL, APIs, and project/change management.

The post is offered on a full time fixed term contract for 12 months (36 hours per week).
