Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / TRAFIX Subject Matter Expert to join the Equity delivery team within TP ICAP Technology Change Management. This role is critical in shaping, analysing and communicating business and operational requirements that support change across TP ICAP’s technology landscape. You will partner closely with stakeholders across multiple business units, helping ensure enhancements to systems and processes are well-designed, strategically aligned, and delivered effectively. Success in this role requires strong analytical capability, stakeholder influence, and the ability to lead cross-functional delivery in a complex, fast-paced and regulated environment. You will also act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while contributing to the ongoing evolution of TP ICAP’s Equities strategy.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners and Development teams to design and deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with TP ICAP’s technology strategy.
  • Own and manage the global TRAFIX book of work, partnering with vendors to oversee governance, guide estimation and define a clear change backlog.
  • Lead requirement analysis by challenging and refining stakeholder objectives to produce clear, actionable documentation that supports effective prioritisation.
  • Drive end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring alignment with business goals, regulatory requirements and agreed delivery milestones.
  • Support governance processes related to scope definition, estimation and milestone tracking using strong domain knowledge.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies and impediments-communicating these early to minimise impact on delivery.
  • Help teams understand the purpose and value of each milestone, release and workflow.
  • Promote consistent engagement with SDLC processes and support teams in maintaining a predictable release cadence.
  • Deliver both functional and non-functional requirements clearly and accurately.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, influencing decisions on prioritisation, scope and solution design.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best-practice development within the BA community.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and innovation within the Equities delivery landscape.
  • Support ad-hoc tasks and initiatives as required.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • SME experience with Order Management Systems (e.g. TRAFIX) and solid background within trading applications and the trade lifecycle.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of order and trade management, including routing, execution, allocation, FIX connectivity and post-trade workflows.
  • Holds strong knowledge of transaction reporting data flows, message validation processes, and the influence of OMS data on regulatory reporting outcomes.
  • Exhibits ability to manage global change backlogs, including prioritisation and coordination with vendors and internal teams.
  • Skilled at balancing BAU and project work in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience improving governance processes (scope, estimation, release planning, milestone tracking).
  • Proven capability to gather, articulate and communicate business and technical requirements clearly.
  • Confident in challenging assumptions, designs and delivery approaches to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Effective in Agile/SAFe environments, collaborating across local and distributed teams.
  • Proficient with Jira or similar issue-management tools.
  • Proven understanding of SDLC and commitment to quality through the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Ability to contribute to functional testing and support automation efforts.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with adaptability, accountability and a service-driven mindset.
  • Quick learner with the ability to develop new technical and domain knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for translating complex information clearly

Desired

  • Background and domain experience within Equity and Equity derivative products
  • Knowledge of TRAFIX OMS/ DMS platform.
  • Hands‑on experience of trade lifecycle and order management workflows
  • Familiarity of FIX and trade messaging protocols
  • Experience with TDD, BDD or similar approaches to specifying requirements and design.
