This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most successful College philanthropic programmes. This is a senior role on the Clare Development Office Team with responsibility for supporting the Development Director in the management and running of the Development Office. The role is responsible for line management and day-to-day office management for some members of the Development Team, providing oversight of gift processing, data management, prospect research, regular giving, alumni communications, events, and alumni relations including career support.
The Deputy Development Director undertakes face-to-face principal gift fundraising as part of the role and works with the Development Director to support and develop relationships with existing and potential major donors.
This post is full-time, 36.25 hours per week, with core working hours of 8:45am -5pm.

Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is £60,000-£73,000. There will be a four-month probationary period. The salary increases annually with the cost of living and will be subject to periodic review, benchmarked against equivalent roles in other Cambridge colleges.
The post holder will be eligible for a bonus every year and free lunch in College on working days. We also offer membership of a defined pension contribution scheme, a Healthcare cash plan and free parking.
Hybrid working options are at the discretion of the line manager upon successful completion of a four-month probationary period. Although flexible working requests will be considered, the College is a community and so it is the normal expectation that the College will be a member of staff’s principal place of work.
