Job Description:

IT Project Manager – Part Time (2 days per week)

CPS Group are supporting a well-established and values-driven organisation in Chippenham to recruit an experienced IT Project Manager for a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is a part-time opportunity (across two days) offering the opportunity to take ownership of a key technology enhancement programme within an established platform environment.

The organisation operates within a regulated setting and places high importance on governance, integrity, collaboration, and delivering to the highest standards.

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of enhancements to an existing platform, ensuring scope, timelines, risks, resources, and governance are actively controlled.

You will coordinate cross-functional delivery teams and external suppliers, driving progress while building strong relationships across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining project scope, objectives, milestones and timelines
  • Owning and maintaining delivery plans and schedules
  • Managing RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies)
  • Coordinating developers, QA, designers and third-party suppliers
  • Managing formal change control and governance processes
  • Overseeing testing phases (QA, integration, UAT) and go-live readiness
  • Providing clear status reporting and delivery forecasts to senior stakeholders
  • Facilitating sprint ceremonies and steering meetings where required

Experience

  • Proven experience delivering IT or software projects end-to-end
  • Strong experience managing scope, timelines, risks and dependencies
  • Experience working within regulated or governance-led environments
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches
  • Experience managing testing phases and release activities
