Senior Mechanical Site Manager
Great opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Site Manager with experience in high value M&E jobs in commercial to take on an iconic Manchester development.
Hours: 41 hours per week
Location: Predominantly North West, across various sites
Salary: £50,000 – £58,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Reports to: Project/Operations Manager
Manages: Site Managers, Assistant Site Managers, Direct Site Staff
Works with: Sub-contractors, suppliers, clients, utility providers, and local authorities
Role Purpose
Responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring high standards of health & safety, quality, presentation, and programme delivery. You will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures.
- Maintain accurate H&S documentation and ensure all personnel are properly inducted.
- Lead, support, and motivate site teams; provide coaching and performance management.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure work meets required standards and specifications.
- Oversee site presentation, security, stock control and site administration.
- Coordinate build programmes, resources, deliveries, and weekly/fortnightly planning.
- Liaise with clients and internal teams; attend meetings and provide progress reports.
- Review and approve RAMS, installation programmes, testing and O&M documents.
- Prepare required site documentation including diaries, allocation sheets, delay records and SHE documents.
- Support design coordination and ensure compliance with building regulations and warranty provider requirements.
- Control site costs and ensure work is delivered within budget.

Essential Qualifications
- CSCS Site Manager card
- CITB SMSTS
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or similar trade qualification)
- First Aid at Work
Desirable Qualifications
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Scaffold Appreciation
- LOLER
- CIOB membership/qualification
Experience
- Proven experience managing site teams (including Site Managers/ASMs)
- Strong knowledge of building regulations and health & safety legislation
- Experience working on high value commercial and residential M&E jobs
