Salary

£38,645 per annum

Responsibilities

You will be the first point of contact for people who come to the service seeking help to end their homelessness. You will welcome clients, listen to their stories and provide information, advice and guidance. You will ensure an immediate response from the Engagement and Assessment team, signpost and refer clients to suitable supports, and when appropriate, allocate them to a Crisis Lead Worker.

Qualifications and experience

  • Experience working with homeless or other vulnerable groups, respecting confidentiality, showing empathy and working in a boundary‑conscious way.
  • Experience of assessing presenting needs and working in a Psychologically Informed Environment that ensures all levels of need can access the service.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
  • Good knowledge of homelessness, housing and welfare legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, effective written and verbal communication, calm approach to challenging situations.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and build successful relationships with external service providers and partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
