Overview
Join Gallagher Re as a Sanctions Analyst and play a key role in ensuring compliance with financial and trade sanctions, export control, and anti‑boycott regulations. This newly created role is based in London and is part of the global Centre of Excellence for Financial Crime and International Trade.
How You’ll Make An Impact
This is a Hybrid role where you would be in our London office 2‑3 days a week. You’ll work closely with the Sanctions Manager and the Financial Crime Team to provide expert advice and support on sanctions compliance, helping the business identify, assess, and manage risks while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of a sanctions compliance framework.
- Researching and advising on sanctions‑related issues, including legal and regulatory updates.
- Responding to complex queries and providing clear, practical guidance to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Assisting with financial crime projects and contributing to business‑led initiatives.
- Acting as a point of escalation for sanctions screening alerts.
About You
We’re looking for someone who’s organised, detail‑oriented, and thrives under pressure. You’ll have:
- A degree or equivalent experience.
- A basic understanding of UK, EU, and US sanctions regulations or a strong background in the (re)insurance sector.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and a focus on client service.
- Experience in trade sanctions, particularly in Marine and Aviation.
- You must be eligible to work in the UK.
