Role Overview
As the Engineering Manager, you are responsible for leading and developing a multi-disciplinary engineering team (Embedded Software, Hardware, Mechanical, Systems and RF). Additionally, the successful candidate will strengthen engineering processes and implement digital governance (including Jira), support and deliver approximately 6 active NPI or revenue‑generating programmes a year (typically under 10), improve resource planning and execution to reduce team stretch, and ensure smooth cross‑functional collaboration across Engineering, Sales, Operations and Leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent in relevant subject (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an equivalent role
- Experience in defence or aviation, and/or knowledge of RF, embedded systems or electronics would be highly beneficial
- Experience of Project and Line Management in the defence or aviation industry
- Experience of reporting to Senior Management
- AMP, Prince2 or similar certification
- British Citizen or the ability to obtain the required security clearance
