Accounting Director

A Director role for a leading Midlands firm of accountants that focuses on the SME market. You will join as a member of the local leadership team: responsible for growing and developing the revenues of your department as well as supporting the wider business as it expands across the Midlands.

Description

• Provide leadership across the department
• Support with the success and growth of the department, including work‑winning and client retention
• Manage a personal portfolio of clients, delivering high‑quality compliance and advisory services
• Build trusted, long‑term client relationships through a tailored and commercial approach
• Drive advisory‑led conversations and identify opportunities to refer work
• Support, develop, and help mentor the team, aligning people strategy with departmental and firm‑wide objectives
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement across the team and wider business

Profile

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified, with significant post‑qualification experience
• Strong accounts and business advisory background
• A proven work‑winner with the ambition and capability to step into a Director role
• Experience leading, managing, and developing high‑performing teams
