Position: Clinical Training Specialist / Senior Clinical Training Specialist

Leading med‑tech company focused on innovative cardiovascular technologies to improve patient outcomes in the cath lab and beyond. The company is advancing novel diagnostic and therapeutic solutions within interventional cardiology and is entering a pivotal phase of clinical development across Europe and the US.

Role Overview

Support landmark European and US clinical trials. Ensure safe and effective use of technology, support site activation, train clinical teams, and build long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders in preparation for future commercial launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train site staff to ensure safe and compliant use of the technology
  • Support sites through initial onboarding to full independence
  • Identify refresher or remedial training needs (e.g., staff changes)
  • Provide remote and occasional out‑of‑hours support to maximise trial recruitment
  • Deliver ongoing education on cardiovascular topics, trial updates, and scientific data
  • Support centre of excellence selection and preparation beyond the trial phase
  • Attend and support initial cases in the cath lab
  • Proctor sites until independent use is achieved per protocol
  • Provide remote support to UK and wider European sites as required
  • Monitor protocol compliance and procedural quality
  • Support workflow setup to ensure high‑quality images and data capture
  • Maintain accurate proctoring documentation and records
  • Support internal and external audits and inspections
  • Ensure accurate and compliant documentation is maintained
  • Execute clinical activities within regulatory and trial frameworks
  • Maintain close relationships with Site PIs and clinical teams
  • Develop relationships with emerging and established KOLs
  • Support engagement with national societies and key stakeholders
  • Act as the voice of the customer within internal teams
  • Identify early‑adopter centres aligned with future commercial launch
  • Stay current with scientific literature, congress activity, and competitor developments
  • Maintain a broad understanding of healthcare systems and market dynamics

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science or healthcare discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • Experience as a Clinical Specialist, Clinical Trial Specialist, Field Technical Specialist, or equivalent
  • Alternatively, strong hands‑on cardiac cath lab experience
  • Proven background in clinical training, proctoring, or education
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a highly mobile role
  • Willingness to travel 60-80% (UK and occasional international travel)
