Role: Family Support Practitioner
Salary: £26,006.84 per annum

Derby, Derbyshire. Our office is based in Cromford.
Contract / Hours
This is a fixed‑term contract to provide maternity cover for an approximate period of 12 months, working 37 hours a week Full Time.

A bit about the role
Space 4 U is a specialist service working with children and young people aged 5‑18 years living in Derbyshire, who are impacted by someone else’s substance misuse. We offer 1:1 intervention to the children and young people we support based on an assessment of need. We also offer some group work.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the interventions for children and families
- Work collaboratively with parents/carers and children
- Provide children and families with information and skills to help them support their needs through a variety of challenges
- Empower families to make positive changes
Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous experience working with children aged 5 to 18 and families
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable
- Knowledge and experience to demonstrate your commitment to safeguarding children and young people
- Confidence to conduct 1-2-1 sessions and group workl
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to be part of a team and multi‑agency working
- Flexibility as some occasional evening and weekend work is required
- Access to a transport is essential
