Head of HSE

Overview

A leading infrastructure contractor require a proven HSE Manager to lead the overall group HSE function.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with Managing Director and other senior directors, responsible for producing SHE standards, strategy and delivery
• Recruited and develop SHE team.
• Develop utilities sectors and SHE business plans
• Established procedures to meet business Safety Health and Environment (SHE) plan projections.
• Managing the corporate SHE improvement programme
• Developing, mentoring and leading SHE teams on projects throughout the UK
• Introduction of monthly SHE dashboards for the business and all projects.
• Providing HSE strategies to support winning tenders on large projects
• Maintaining core corporate SHEQ and additional certification across all the sectors

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven HSE background
• Tier 1/2 infrastructure contractor background ( ideally utilities )
• Strategic leadership of business unit or function
