Store Manager

Role Overview

Our store managers play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the store and delivering the Space Station service customers love. They support staff in their day‑to‑day roles and progression, maximise sales and profit targets, help customers with any need, and ensure all legal and company procedures are in place.

Salary: £40,566

Location: Hall Green

Working Hours

This full‑time role works 5 days out of 7, including some weekend and bank holiday work.

Qualifications

• Goal oriented, with a proven sales track record
• Thrives in a varied, team environment
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills
• Good level of numeracy and people‑management experience

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Customer Service

• Convert sales and help customers make informed decisions
• Achieve sales targets by maximising sales opportunities
• Provide outstanding customer service, always keeping our values in mind
• Resolve customer complaints, address concerns and explain company or store policies

Store Growth and Development

• Meet revenue and growth targets, and control costs within reasonable limits
• Manage store and employee growth and development
• Demonstrate an active approach to achieving goals and objectives

Manage and Train Employees

• Recruit, train, develop and support staff to maintain high standards
• Motivate staff to deliver best results
• Provide leadership, encouragement, training and support to help others achieve budgets

Administration

• Ensure effective administration of the store, adhering to company systems, policies and procedures
• Create and implement marketing plans, monitor and review results at regular intervals
• Promote the store in the local community by networking and liaising with local shops and businesses

Maintenance

• Take pride in the site and maintain excellent standards
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers

Charity Participation

• Dedicate 1 % of working time to volunteering or fundraising for charity
