Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Dentist for a part‑time (1–2 days per week) self‑employed position at our practice in Chard. The role involves providing general dentistry services, supporting the practice’s growth, and working collaboratively with a small NHS patient cohort.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general dental care, including diagnostic, restorative and preventative treatments.
• Provide professional support to a dental therapist, including treatment planning and case management.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
• Participate in quality improvement and practice development initiatives.
• Assist with administrative duties as required in a self‑employed capacity.
• Work flexibly 1–2 days per week (Monday plus another weekday as required).

Qualifications

• GDC registration.
• Licence to work in the UK.
• An active NHS performer number.
• Proof of up‑to‑date Hepatitis B vaccination.
• Valid DBS check.
• Appropriate professional indemnity insurance.
• Experience in general dentistry and/or comfort with supporting a dental therapist.
