Import / Export & Procurement Executive

Greenford | Full‑Time, Permanent | £28,000 – £32,000 + Performance Bonus

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a growing and dynamic organisation based in Greenford, who are looking to appoint an Import / Export & Procurement Executive to join their operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate‑calibre candidate with hands‑on experience in international logistics and purchasing, looking to develop a well‑rounded career across both import/export operations and procurement.

The Role

This is a dual‑focused position, with approximately 50% responsibility in import/export coordination and 50% in procurement support. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods internationally while supporting supplier management and purchasing activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Import / Export (50%)
  • Coordinate international shipments, with a strong focus on ocean freight.
  • Prepare and review shipping documentation including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs authorities.
  • Track shipments and manage customs clearance processes.
  • Procurement (50%)
  • Support sourcing and purchasing activities across multiple suppliers.
  • Manage supplier communications, follow‑ups, and order tracking.
  • Assist with cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings.
  • Conduct market research and support supplier negotiations.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records.

About You

  • Graduate‑level education (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Previous experience in import/export operations, particularly ocean freight.
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms and international shipping documentation (e.g. bills of lading).
  • Exposure to procurement or purchasing activities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
