Join a brand-new acute Mental Health service where you will play a central role in shaping care pathways and building the culture alongside the senior leadership team.
This role is ideal for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in inpatient settings, including working with patients under the Mental Health Act, and with an interest in supporting trauma-affected patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume Responsible Clinician (RC) duties for Dunnock View, supported by non-consultant grade doctors and the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist
- Ensure patients admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely
- Oversee medication management
- Support clinical governance, including quality assurance, complaints management, and co-production
- Deliver care in line with NICE guidance
- Lead and manage CPA and ICR processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Participate in the On Call Consultant rota
Requirements
- Medically qualified (MRC Psych or equivalent)
- Innovative and able to initiate corporate decisions
- Understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
- Knowledge of change management, legislation, contemporary mental health issues, and purchaser/provider contractual issues
