Finance Business Partner – Sales | PE backed Renewables | £70,000 – £80,000 + bonus & benefits

I am currently working with a PE backed renewables company who are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join their team after a period of significant growth. My client is looking for someone who enjoys dealing with senior stakeholders and comfortable working with the sales leadership and wants to play a key role in shaping future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Own sales and supply chain margin budgets and forecasts, delivering rolling 12-month projections with detailed walk/bridge analysis.
  • Produce scenario plans and strategic assessments in partnership with the FP&A Manager and key business partners.
  • Ensure the SQL financial data warehouse remains accurate and current.
  • Produce and circulate a weekly sales and subcontract deck covering pipeline, backlog, actuals, YoY bridges (pricing, churn, volume) and retention analysis.
  • Reconcile weekly reporting to monthly management accounts and own the month-end close pack.
  • Own and maintain live Power BI dashboards across all areas of responsibility.
  • Own the Excel bid model, assessing new opportunities and their commercial implications.
  • Partner with sales leaders on complex or out-of-parameter bids, including key contractual terms.
  • Serve as the face of commercial finance to the sales and supply chain functions.
  • Analyse acquisition synergies for investment cases, validate post-deal, and track and report financial synergies to the business.
  • Maintain model integrity, version control and documentation; support PE reporting and value-creation initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a proven track record of commercial insight and value creation in high-growth, PE-backed environments.
  • Exceptional communicator and storyteller — able to translate complex financials into clear, compelling narratives for senior non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen, linking pricing, mix, volume and cost-to-serve to P&L and cash outcomes
  • Confident self-starter who thrives under ambiguity and tight deadlines, with the credibility to influence and challenge at Senior Management level
  • Strategic thinker who connects financial data to broader business strategy and value-creation levers
  • Expert in Power BI, Excel.

This is a very exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a growth environment and has prior experience to PE however this is not essential. Please reach if you would like to find out more about this role and opportunity.
