Job Description:

Our shift leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

New colleagues are offered a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with flexibility for 12‑16 hours as needed.

Availability windows:

  • Sunday: 23:00–08:00
  • Tuesday: 23:00–03:00
  • Wednesday: 23:00–07:30
  • Friday: 23:00–07:30
  • Saturday: 23:00–08:00

Responsibilities

As a Shift Leader you will work in a fast‑paced retail environment where every day presents new challenges. Your duties include:

  • Co‑ordinating the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Providing on‑the‑job coaching and feedback to continuously improve service levels.
  • Monitoring team performance and implementing practical actions for improvement.
  • Ensuring the store remains a safe and welcoming place for both staff and shoppers.

Qualifications

  • Able to role mod­el excellent customer service, ensuring every customer’s needs are met.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues to foster team spirit.
  • Clear communicator using a variety of methods to keep the team well‑informed.
  • Confident in leading, often taking charge during busy periods.
  • Flexible thinker, able to make efficient decisions and adapt to change.
  • High energy and drive to deliver beyond expectations while balancing priorities.
  • Constantly seeks ideas and opportunities to serve Britain’s shoppers better everyday.
