Job Description:

We are now looking to appoint a Product Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of digital products that underpin our Professional Services practice.

About the Role:

You’ll work closely with service leads, clients, and developers to scope, plan, test and deliver enhancements to digital platforms – ensuring they remain competitive, user-focused and commercially impactful.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development of a clear product vision aligned to company goals and market needs

Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning

Identify innovation opportunities, including ethical AI adoption

Create, prioritise and refine backlog items

Maintain a prioritised pipeline of features, enhancements and support tickets

Test product updates (or coordinate UAT) prior to release

Ensure development focuses on highest-value activity

Current products include bespoke platforms such as Jedu, DBS and Docex, alongside third-party systems such as Zoho Desk, Netex Learning Cloud and RingCentral (scope may evolve).

Stakeholder Collaboration

Gather requirements from internal teams and clients (schools and trusts)

Keep stakeholders informed on progress and delivery

Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and colleague usability

Engage directly with clients to test concepts and validate direction

Monitor competitor activity, particularly AI-enabled solutions

Ensure products remain relevant and market-leading

Development Oversight

Translate requirements into technical specifications

Hold developers accountable for delivery, timelines and quality

Monitor performance and raise risks

Ensure AI development is ethical, secure and trusted

Planning & Execution

Participate in sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives

Write clear user stories with acceptance criteria

Track KPIs and user feedback to optimise value delivery

Value Delivery

Support digital implementation projects where required

Partner with engineering, design, sales and marketing

Identify new uses for existing tools or alternative solutions

Documentation & Communication

Maintain transparency on progress, risks and releases

Communicate updates and product changes to users

Coordinate releases and continuous improvement cycles

Clients and education stakeholders

About You

Proven experience in Product Management (ideally SaaS, compliance or education)

Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience engaging directly with clients and senior leaders

Ability to balance commercial goals with customer needs

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability

Track record of delivering product roadmaps

Experience overseeing technical delivery / developer teams

Awareness of AI capabilities and associated risks

Knowledge of education compliance or risk management

Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g. Zoho, Salesforce)

Experience in multi-stakeholder environments (e.g. MATs, consultancies)
