Senior Structural Engineer

Overview

Whitby Wood is looking for a senior structural engineer who is passionate about sustainability, and keen to work in a collaborative environment. We have a position available in our London. Responsibilities

• You will need to be a dab hand with a pencil, and understand how to get your sketches built.
• You will also need to be able to command the respect of colleagues and clients, and experienced in successfully leading teams across a number of projects.
• This capability should be matched by excellent interpersonal skills, and a readiness to represent us at meetings with clients and architects.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years’ experience, with minimum one years’ experience at an established engineering practice in the UK
• Chartered with ICE or IStructE
• Strong interest in architecture and the relationship between structural engineering and architectural design
• Ability and enjoyment in communicating with a pencil, taking sketch to constructed frame : understanding how one leads to the other
• A portfolio of built projects
• Proficiency in Revit, ETABS, SAFE and Rhino preferred
