Production Line Operative – £ – Temp to Perm – Outskirts of Colchester OWN TRANSPORT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE
We are currently recruiting for a Production Line Operative on behalf of a well-established and expanding food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Colchester, Essex. This business specialises in the production of food-based products and is offering a long-term opportunity with excellent potential for career development.
Job Overview: This is a temp-to-perm position ideal for someone looking for stable and consistent work. Prior experience in a production or factory setting is welcome but not essential – reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to be part of a team are the most important qualities.
Please note: Due to the remote location and limited access to public transport, own transport is essential.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Line Operative:
Assisting on various points of the production line, including loading, monitoring, and packing
Visual inspection and grading of raw materials
Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met at all times
Complying with all food safety and hygiene procedures
Final packing and palletising of finished goods
Supporting the team with any other production-related duties as required
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in manufacturing and production, or FMCG environment is advantageous
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with shift availability
Good attention to detail and communication skills
Must have own transport and live within commutable distance of Colchester
Willingness to work weekends and undertake overtime as required
Shift Pattern & Pay:
4 on, 4 off day shift pattern (7:00am – 6:00pm – slightly reduced at the weekends)
£ per hour
Overtime available at enhanced rates
Free on-site parking
Potential for permanent employment after initial temporary period
