Remuneration: £60,000 – £70,000

Role Overview

• Estimator position dealing with a range of commercial construction projects including fit-out, strip-out and refurb.
• Interpreting technical drawings and generating bids.
• Estimating for projects such as housing associations, shopping centres, education sector and light industrial works.
• Negotiating with clients, project managers, quantity surveyors and the internal estimating team.
• Producing formal quotations to customers.
• Producing BOQs from drawings to deliver quotations within customer deadlines.
• Maintaining documentation of tenders and quotations on an internal database.
• Contacting customers, handling queries and providing technical information.
• Working on projects ranging in value from £250k to over £2m.

Ideal Candidate

• 5–10 years of estimating experience within the commercial construction industry.
• Experience in first principle estimating.
• Background in strip-out, refurb, fit-out or new build.
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of industry processes, materials and costs.
• Quantity surveying degree preferred.
• Stable career, highly organised, attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• IT literacy (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
