Role: Technology Consultant

Location: London (may travel to client sites throughout the UK)

Career Level: Accenture career level 9 Specialist – Consultant

Minimum Years of delivery experience: 3‑5 years

Industry Experience: Experience within the Energy and Utilities Industry sector

Responsibilities

  • Work with the global delivery network to manage complex and large-scale technology projects
  • Implement large-scale Business Transformations across key UK Energy and Utilities clients
  • Provide solutions to real‑world problems in the Energy and Utilities industries, working at the forefront of topical areas
  • Help shape the technology roadmap for both Accenture and clients
  • Help client business owners navigate complex subject matters, breaking technical documentation into manageable blocks
  • Provide expert advice within the utilities sector to define, design, build, test, and deploy solutions
  • Effectively communicate with peers and clients in challenging circumstances
  • Drive forward the delivery of high-quality work on‑time and on‑budget
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to support design and implementation work
  • Effectively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
  • Work closely with clients to align their expectations with delivery plans
  • Execute delivery across various methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall
  • Maintain knowledge of the latest technology trends and apply them in day‑to‑day operations

Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience within the Energy or Utilities sector with knowledge of latest trends and challenges
  • Implementation experience from large business transformation programs (ERP or CRM)
  • Experience using Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Understanding of Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency Management
  • Strong communication skills, including experience with Energy/Utilities clients
  • Strong organisational skills managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Experience line managing resources and project managing a team
