Role: Technology Consultant
Location: London (may travel to client sites throughout the UK)
Career Level: Accenture career level 9 Specialist – Consultant
Minimum Years of delivery experience: 3‑5 years
Industry Experience: Experience within the Energy and Utilities Industry sector
Responsibilities
- Work with the global delivery network to manage complex and large-scale technology projects
- Implement large-scale Business Transformations across key UK Energy and Utilities clients
- Provide solutions to real‑world problems in the Energy and Utilities industries, working at the forefront of topical areas
- Help shape the technology roadmap for both Accenture and clients
- Help client business owners navigate complex subject matters, breaking technical documentation into manageable blocks
- Provide expert advice within the utilities sector to define, design, build, test, and deploy solutions
- Effectively communicate with peers and clients in challenging circumstances
- Drive forward the delivery of high-quality work on‑time and on‑budget
- Provide functional and technical expertise to support design and implementation work
- Effectively manage risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies
- Work closely with clients to align their expectations with delivery plans
- Execute delivery across various methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall
- Maintain knowledge of the latest technology trends and apply them in day‑to‑day operations
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 5 years of experience within the Energy or Utilities sector with knowledge of latest trends and challenges
- Implementation experience from large business transformation programs (ERP or CRM)
- Experience using Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
- Understanding of Risk, Assumption, Issue, and Dependency Management
- Strong communication skills, including experience with Energy/Utilities clients
- Strong organisational skills managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities
- Experience line managing resources and project managing a team
