My client is a 6-year-old fabless semiconductor start-up, built on the foundation of award-winning academic research. They’re profitable, have multiple product lines in development, and have just closed a series A funding round which will be used to scale their production capabilities.
The immediate need is an Operations Director who can establish robust global supply chains with foundries, OSATs, and suppliers/partners, to ensure an effective manufacturing environment is constantly meeting business and customer needs.
The successful Operations Director will have:
- Experience working within a semiconductor start-up or high growth organisation
- Scaled manufacturing operations from NPI to mass production
- A solid understadning of semiconductor manufacturing process flows and the respective nuances within foundries/OSATs (in relation to capacity planning/yield management etc)
- An ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, sales and marketing teams
- Held a position with strategic input and leadership responsibilities
- An ability to work from a Sheffield-based office 4-5 days per week
