Group Parts Manager – Overview

Our client, a reputable multi‑site franchised car dealer group in the Vale of Glamorgan and Rhondda Cynon Taf region, is seeking a dedicated Group Parts Manager to oversee their dealerships in Llandow, Talbot Green and Rhondda.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced automotive parts professionals to advance their career within a well‑established and progressive organisation. The Group Parts Manager will be responsible for managing multiple dealer sites, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving parts sales growth.

Duties

  • Lead and manage a team of three Parts Advisors across three dealership locations
  • Cover holiday and sickness periods at all sites to ensure continuous operation
  • Receive and accurately process parts orders, verifying requirements and dispatching promptly
  • Handle customer parts enquiries with professionalism and courtesy in a busy trade environment as the Group Parts Manager
  • Promote parts sales and ensure targets are achieved through proactive sales approaches
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures and health & safety standards
  • Maintain stock levels, order accuracy and efficient stock control processes
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure optimal parts availability
  • Utilise dealer management systems (Kerridge/ADP) and electronic parts catalogues efficiently

Requirements

  • Proven experience within a dealership parts department or motor factor environment, with managerial or supervisory exposure
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts operations and dealership procedures
  • Live within a manageable distance of Llandow, Talbot Green or Rhondda for easy site access
  • IT literate, with experience using Kerridge/ADP or similar dealer management systems
  • Hold a full UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills
  • Ambitious, target‑driven and able to motivate a team effectively
  • Previous supervisory or managerial experience in a parts department highly desirable
