We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated General Manager to join our client’s reputable dealership in Inverness. The successful individual will be responsible for managing the entire dealership operation, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded, and leading a dedicated team of automotive professionals.

Duties

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a team of automotive professionals to ensure a high-performance culture
  • Oversee sales and after-sales divisions, ensuring divisional targets are achieved or surpassed
  • Set and implement financial objectives, growth strategies, and departmental plans
  • Drive dealership profitability through effective budget management and performance analysis
  • Finalise accurate dealership reporting in line with group and manufacturer requirements
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase visibility and customer engagement
  • Ensure exceptional customer service levels and high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards and internal policies
  • Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to drive business growth and operational excellence

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the automotive retail sector, ideally as Head of Business, Dealer Principal, or General Manager
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop personnel
  • Excellent stakeholder management, both internally and externally
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and foresight to identify potential issues before they arise
  • Calm, professional approach with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively
  • A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Strong understanding of automotive sales, after-sales, and dealership operations
