At NHS Professionals, we’re looking for a motivated Strategic Sourcing Managerto play a key role in shaping how we buyand manage contracts across our £40m+ spend portfolio. Reporting directly tothe Head of Procurement, this role gives you the chance to influencebusiness-critical decisions and lead on complex, high-value projects that trulymake a difference.

Maternity Cover FTC until 30/07/2027.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leadingsourcing and contract management across direct and indirect categories.
  • Developingand delivering category strategies that support NHSP’s mission andbusiness goals.
  • Drivingsupplier negotiations, contract drafting, and governance.
  • Partneringwith senior stakeholders to embed best practice procurement.
  • Leadingand developing a small team, building a high-performance culture.

What we’re looking for:

  • Provenprocurement or category management experience in a complex environment.
  • Strongcommercial acumen with contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Astrategic thinker who can also deliver at pace.
  • Excellentstakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experienceleading or coaching team members.

About The Candidate

  • Have a collaborative and engaging approach
  • Have several years’ experience in a similar role working with high value contracts
  • Ideally hold a CIPS or other relevant qualification (desirable)
  • Be able to manage priorities
  • Work under pressure sometimes with challenging and variable timescales and deadlines
  • Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Be an experienced negotiator with a modern and creative approach to maximising value for NHSP and its suppliers and clients
  • Experience in managing a team to reach their full potential
