Building & Construction Project Lead – 2968

Building Construction Project Leader – Portsmouth – £40 per hour + overtime – 12 months (initially)

What will you be doing:

• Lead the team through the detailed design of Building Services for a range of projects, including major plant replacement and refurbishment works.
• Apply industry standard design and calculation software.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and other design team members.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Project manage suitable projects and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Monitor, audit, validate progress of Professional Service Work Packages, works on site, and observance of technical compliance and H&S matters.
• Possess an awareness of the associated maintenance and operation of engineering services, including condition surveys, service delivery audits, and preparing plant replacement/life cycle plans.

A couple of things you should know:

• Experience in Capital Investment Project management and project delivery.
• Previous experience in Building Engineering Services refurbishment in existing buildings, emphasizing small to medium sized projects.
• Demonstrable experience taking projects from inception and feasibility, through design and specification to site monitoring and handover.
• Ability to develop client briefs into construction requirements, including scopes for External Professionals (architects, structural engineers, systems designers).
• Good practical understanding of mechanical and electrical plants, systems, and equipment in relation to engineering design, operation, and maintenance across a wide range of sectors and building types.
