We are looking to recruit a senior operations, innovation and transformation professional, with a background in legal practice, to join our award-winning FutureLaw team.
This is a unique opportunity to take a leading role in transforming how legal services are conceived, delivered and experienced, both within TLT and for our clients.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in our Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London offices, offering a flexible hybrid working model.
Your Role
This is a senior, dual‑facing role that combines internal business partnering with hands‑on client legal operations delivery. The role plays a leading part in transforming how legal services are conceived,designedand delivered, using innovation,technologyand new operating models to create measurable value for both the firm and its clients.
Embedded alongside a practice group as a trusted advisor, the role brings deep insight from client-facing work to inform internal innovation. At the same time, it works directly with client legal teams to modernise legal operations, drawing on solutions that have been developed and proven within a leading law firm environment.
The role is central to positioning TLT as a market leader in legal innovation and creating a virtuous cycle between internal capability-building and client transformation.
As a Senior Legal Transformation Manager, you will:
- Drive innovation within practice groups by identifying challenges and opportunities in legal service delivery and designing effective solutions.
- Lead the adoption and embedding of generative AI and intelligent technology across legal teams and client work.
- Design, deliver and scale new client‑facing products, services and operating models that improve efficiency, quality and value.
- Optimise legal workflows by disaggregating work and enabling alternative delivery models, increasing capacity and effectiveness.
- Deliver end‑to‑end innovation initiatives, including requirements gathering, programme management, ROI assessment and post‑implementation review.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client legal departments, leading legal operations and transformation engagements and building long‑term relationships.
- Enhance TLT’s market profile through thought leadership, client engagement and advocacy for FutureLaw capabilities.
Your Skills and Experience

You will be able to demonstrate a similar collaborative, flexible and driven ethos and will have accumulated the following experience and skills:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in legal operations, innovation or transformation roles, within a law firm or legal department, delivering complex initiatives end to end.
- Prior legal practice experience and strong understanding of the legal market and service delivery challenges, ideally gained as a qualified lawyer.
- An advanced understanding of generative AI and legal technology, including legal AI tools, document automation and innovation platforms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- A commercial and delivery focus, including ROI modelling, programme management and value realisation.
