Senior Microbiologist

Are you ready to step into a leadership role in microbiology within a cutting-edge pharmaceutical environment? We’re looking for an experienced and passionate individual to supervise our Microbiology Lab operations and support high-quality pharmaceutical production at Piramal Pharma Solutions in Morpeth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead daily Microbiology Lab operations, ensuring safety and compliance
• Plan and allocate testing tasks to lab analysts for raw materials, bulk/packaged products & environmental monitoring
• Support QA & QC activities for third-party contract manufacturing
• Lead quality investigations, including OOS root cause analysis
• Review & approve microbiological procedures, SOPs, specifications, and compendial updates
• Advise on contamination control strategies and system design improvements
• Share best practices by attending training & recommending improvements
• Represent Microbiology in external and internal audits/inspections
• Maintain compliance with global regulatory standards in environmental testing
• Assist with hiring & developing future Microbiology talent
