We are working with a well-established, London-based alternative asset manager to find an Investment Associate for their growing real estate debt team. The firm operates across private equity, listed equity, real estate and credit, deploying both shareholder and third-party capital. This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team, where you will take on meaningful responsibility from day one – working across the full deal lifecycle from initial assessment through to execution and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial credit and financial modelling assessments on new transactions, and support negotiation and drafting of term sheets
- Research and write investment committee papers, review legal documentation, and manage deal execution through to close
- Monitor and report on live portfolio transactions, maintaining data accuracy and flagging any developments
- Build and develop client relationships with a view to originating transactions independently over time
Requirements
- Experience in real estate debt, credit, or a related investment environment – with strong financial modelling and credit analysis skills
- A self-starter mentality – comfortable running projects independently and able to exercise sound judgement without constant direction
- A first-principles mindset with the ability to think creatively around deal structures and problem solving
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with borrowers, intermediaries and investors
