About the Role
Members act in an advisory capacity to support governance arrangements for OPSS. They will not be involved in technical regulatory decisions but will help shape key policy, regulatory, and operational issues that affect businesses and consumers daily.

Areas of Focus
- EU and UK regulatory divergence
- Development of novel regulatory functions or expansion into the online space
- UK internal market
- How OPSS gathers and uses science and evidence
- International engagement with regulators and industry
- Business planning, control mechanisms and delegation in a growing organisation
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrable track record and experience of operating at a senior leadership level
- Ability to question, challenge constructively and support decision-making within the organisation, bringing diverse opinions and views
- Excellent communication and committee membership skills, with the ability to collaborate and command respect and confidence from others
- Clear understanding of OPSS work and strong interest in supporting OPSS to function effectively as a regulator
- Commitment to attend four meetings per year
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Senior level experience in a delivery-focused organisation, regulatory body, or small/large business
- Experience managing complex operational delivery
